How to Make A Yes
How to Make A Yes-No Tarot Spread Personal
Asking the tarot yes-no questions is typically frowned upon when you ask about it. You’re told that you should ask more open ended questions. But the truth is- we all still do our own yes-no tarot spread.
This is mine.
Getting started with this method might seem a bit weird, but just go with me on it.
I first read about this method years ago. I call it ‘Finding the Aces’. After using it for a while, it felt impersonal- so I put my own spin on it and made it a lot more personal to me.
Finding the Aces Method Overview
The general concept is that you shuffle and flip cards in 3 piles until you get to a certain number of cards or you find an ace. Easy. Done. Viola!
The results are pretty simple too.
No Aces- Nope. Not going to happen.
How I Personalized this Yes-No Tarot Spread
The first thing that I did was I changed the number of cards per pile from 13 to one of my birth cards. My birth cards are 5 (Hierophant) and 14 (Temperance), so I chose 14.
If you don’t know what your tarot birth cards are, you can check out the post I wrote on ithere.
Now when I start making my piles I put cards into a pile until I find an Ace or I hit 14 cards in the pile. Then I move onto the next pile and repeat until I have 3 piles of 14 or less.
The second thing that I did to personalize this method is instead of reading the answer strictly based on the number of Aces that flip over. I also use it as a 3 card reading.
Example:
For example I pull the Ace of Swords, Emperor, and The World. I would see this as a probably not (based on the single Ace).
I like to read the spread using the following prompts:Tell me in the comments below if you like this method or how you do you yes/ no tarot spreads!
